Our Health Guarantee:

You have been given the complete vaccination and deworming record with your new retriever. Please take it to your veterinarian when your puppy/dog goes to his/her first checkup, within 72 hrs of pickup or sooner. While veterinarian opinions sometimes vary, it is generally recommended that puppies/dogs receive booster shots for maximum disease prevention. Please check your vaccination record and have all of your booster shots given at the appropriate time. Your new puppy/dog should also be dewormed regularly.

Internal parasites such as worms, coccidia, and giardia are one of the major causes of problems in young puppies. Even though your puppy/dog has been dewormed several times before pickup, please understand, today's dewormers are only effective against adult worms, and not larva, which may still remain in your puppy/dog’s system after deworming. Adult dogs develop immunity to many of these parasites, but young puppies need frequent deworming to protect them as they develop. For this reason, Seller does not guarantee puppies/dogs to be free of common parasites. It is the responsibility of Buyer to continue the health program your puppy/dog has been started on or the health guarantee is void.

Your new puppy/dog is guaranteed for 72 hrs from the date of pickup. In the event that your veterinarian finds a defect at the puppy/dog’s first checkup, within 72 hrs of purchase, Buyer has the option of bringing the puppy/dog back, along with all of the puppy/dog’s paperwork, to Seller for a full or partial refund depending on the defect. Minor cosmetic or genetic flaws that do not affect the health of the puppy/dog will not be considered for refunds. Only defects that would affect the quality of life of the puppy/dog will be considered.

Seller does not guarantee the temperament, working abilities, breeding quality, or conformation of your puppy/dog.

All puppies/dogs are guaranteed that they will not be affected/at risk, but may still carry some of the following hereditary genetic disorders:

For Labrador Retrievers:

-CMS (Congenital Myasthenic Syndrome)

-CNM (Centronuclear Myopathy)

-DM (Degenerative Myopathy)

Proof from an OFA (Orthapedic Foundation for Animals) acknowledged laboratory is required for puppies/dogs claimed to be affected by the above DNA genetic disorders in order for a refund of the purchase price or a replacement puppy/dog to be issued.

Our retrievers are also guaranteed to be free of hereditary hip, elbow, and eye disorders until 26 months of age.

In the event your puppy/dog is found to have one of the above genetic disorders, Daybreak Retrievers will issue a refund of the purchase price or a replacement puppy/dog of equal value upon proof of spay/neuter of said puppy/dog and proof of dysplasia or genetic eye disorder from OFA (Orthapedic Foundation for Animals), a board certified veterinary ophthalmologist, or an OFA equivalent organization.

If there is a problem with your puppy/dog, proof of additional vaccinations and health maintenance will be required or no refund will be given.

We recommend a high quality food for your retriever. We feed and strongly recommend Nestle Purina. Buyer will be given a sample of what their puppies/dogs have been eating. Buyer agrees to not switch the puppy/dog’s food for at least two weeks post pickup and agrees to feed a food formulated for the growth of large breed puppies for at least the first year of life, unless otherwise directed by a licensed veterinarian.

We love all of our retrievers and if there is ever a reason you must rehome your puppy/dog, we will gladly take him/her back free of charge or help you find him/her a fur-ever home!
